Against the backdrop of a pale sky, at a moment when the blue turns into white owing to the scorching heat, the photographer skillfully captures a bird in profile, sitting on the branch of a Monkey Puzzle tree. Carefully balanced at the edge of the branch, the bird is a metaphor for stillness and solitude. The photograph exemplifies compositional strength along with a heightened sense for texture and symmetry.
