Photography Course, one world college

The white leaf of a palm tree, spread on the Sri Lankan Island, appears bleached by the sun. As a result of overexposure, it shows traces of withering, reminding us of the passing of time, of decay and rebirth. Captured up close, the structure of the leaf seems abstract, with the well-proportioned pattern of symmetrical lines converging in the middle. The deep blue sky and the few shadows that creep in on top of the image generate spatial depth.
